It’s time to give you a brief update on where we are with winter approaching at the end of November (definitely winter here in Cambridge with frost on the ground!!).

There has been today the first record from Vietnam for this winter with 2 birds in the Mekong Delta. Otherwise a record 23+ 3 in Sonadia, Bangladesh in mid November, 14 on Nan Thar Island Myanmar on 14 November and four birds at the moment in Min Jiang, Fujian Province China.

Please send in your observations from the autumn migration. It looks like Sbs skip Japan for already the second  year ,or?

I also would like to invite you all to write a brief or longer update on your stories in your part of the flyway for the next newsletter. Please try to send in reports and drafts by end of December.
